Israelites observed several miraculous events
(which were happened due to the willpower of Allah) with Moses but, still
they lost their Iman.
They started to worship a golden statue of cow within the
40 days Allah ordered Moses to leave them for, in the well-known region called
Sinai Peninsula.
An Israelite man named Samiree recommended them to worship it
by saying, “This is the god Moses was talking about, but he forgot.” Thus, they
did Shirk and lost Iman.
If they can lose Iman this easily then, what would be our state? None of us even seen any of such miracles observed by those Israelites staying with Moses.

Our prophet ﷺ had predicted a long ago that there will be an upcoming time when his followers’ (i.e. he is referring us) state would be like this; many of them would stay with Iman on the daytime and will lose that Iman right away at the nighttime of the same day. And some others of them would stay with Iman on the nighttime and will lose that Iman right away at the daytime of next day.
Which is the reason why we recite Surah Fatiha on each and every Rakat of Salah. Especially the 6th verse of that Surah where we ask Allah for our guidance to the right path. So that we might not go astray (like those Israelite people) by any means at any condition no matter how hard it becomes to stay with.
